Graduate School Preparatory Program

Credential Awarded: Graduates who complete this program, which consists of ministry-approved credit courses, will receive a Certificate of Achievement.  

For students aiming to pursue graduate studies in Canadian schools but feel unprepared in crucial areas such as academic communication, note-taking, teamwork, and reading skills? We understand many students' challenges when seeking admission to Canadian graduate programs, especially language proficiency and academic readiness. 

 

At Maple International College of Secondary Studies, we offer a specialized Graduate School Preparatory Program designed to enhance your skills and increase your chances of success in Canadian graduate schools. Our comprehensive curriculum consists of 8 courses tailored to equip you with the necessary tools for academic excellence and ensure a smoother transition into your chosen program.

For students needing additional support in English proficiency, we provide supplementary courses to strengthen language skills.  

 

By enrolling in our Graduate School Preparatory Program, students will benefit from the following: 

 

1. Targeted instruction in academic communication, note-taking techniques, teamwork dynamics, and reading strategies. 

2. Personalized support to address individual learning needs and enhance English language proficiency. 

3. Guidance from experienced instructors focusing on preparing you for graduate studies in Canadian universities. 

4. A structured curriculum that builds a strong foundation for academic success and fosters a supportive learning environment. 

 

Community Hours/ Unpaid Internship: Our guidance team and industry liaison team will help the students prepare resumes and practise academic and professional interviews.  

 

This program will provide an opportunity for the students to get involved with the local community and be active members of the community by completing 250 hours of unpaid community service.  

Entry Requirements: 
  • 4-year undergraduate degree with a good grade point average. B+ Grade in Degree is preferred; students with a B grade will be considered. An interview with our team might be required. 

  • Language requirements: Basic English knowledge, no TOEFL or IELTS scores required. 

 

 Application materials:

  1. Submit the registration form with a notarized copy of a 4-year bachelor’s degree and transcripts and all documents from grade 10 onwards. A certified translated document is required if documents are in a language other than English.
